Twenty-Eight Washington Township Voices Participate in Annual All-South Jersey Elementary Choir Festival

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - The 43rd annual All-South Jersey Elementary Choir Festival recently brought 170-plus talented singers in grades 4-6 from across the South Jersey region to Washington Township for a showcase of musical excellence. This year, Washington Township had 28 students from three of our elementary schools and all three middle schools who participated and performed under the guidance of their dedicated choir directors: Ronal Bonilla (Hurffville Elementary), Christina Davidson (Chestnut Ridge Middle), Olivia Dixon (Bunker Hill and Orchard Valley Middle), Julia Kane (Birches Elementary), and Virginia Jarvela (Whitman Elementary). The festival was held on Saturday, February 28th, and the event featured a variety of songs that highlighted the students’ hard work and passion for music under conductor Mr. Kayode Gloster.
“We are so proud of the incredible talent and dedication our students displayed at this year's Elementary Choral Festival,” said Casey Corigliano, District Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts. “Events like this provide students with the opportunity to grow both as individuals and as part of a larger musical community.”
The All South Jersey Elementary Choir Festival continues to be a highlight of the school year for our elementary and middle school students, inspiring their young voices and fostering a lifelong love of music.
