WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - During the month of February, Hurffville Elementary School participated in its 32nd annual Kid’s Heart Challenge event (formerly known as Jump Rope for Heart). Hurffville students raised nearly $17,000 to aid in life saving research for the American Heart Association. To date, Hurffville School has raised more than $250,000 for the AHA, has aided students and families in engaging in heart healthy activities, and has provided heart based educational resources and programming for thousands of K-5 students in Washington Township.

This year’s top fundraiser is Rose Marolla, from Mrs. York’s first-grade class. Rose raised $1,267 towards the school’s total.
